try to change the crystal ic.near back up battery that's d driver ic 4 keypad in light keypad..

i had the same problem, i managed to fix it yesterday, it happened to me after changing the digitizer, the problem was with the lcd cable that connect to the M/B, replaced that and its working great now.

The keyboard on the Torch looks to be about the same size as the Bold 9700, but with a very different feel to it. Maybe it’s because the device is a slider, but it feels like the keys on the Torch are a little recessed, perhaps to allow a screen to roll over it.You must read your user manual or you can also ask person having this.

Guys!i have the same problem!touch is original and working fine.but all keypads top ones and main quwetry keypad both not working.i have took out the mother board of faulty fone and put it in whole working fone's(slide,side camera buttons,top flex cable of LCD and the bottom key pad flex included).in other words every thing is changed,but still same problem.i believe it is related to key pad ics,can any one of you show me with a picture the location of keypad ics please?

I had also same problem whn i change flat cable withot back body keypad not wrking..thn i assempled body full and screw prblm solved

dear friends bb 9800& 9810 key pad not working u will rimove the small crystal [5legs] same like simreader nokia its the side of charging connector
