I actually applied voltage to this line, and I discovered Bluetooth ic very hot, after I remove b.t ic. And short gone, but still no power, I guess CPU dead cause I had to increase voltage to about 3.7v

In 9900/9930 VREG_S3_1P8 (1.8v) used in many section.
1. Network ic U501.
2. Wifi BT load switch ic U703.
3. Wifi BT direct ic U702.
4. Emmc ic U901.
5. Main CPU U801 at several point.(don’t remove any resister).
6. Main PMic U1201 out and also in at f15,b11,b12,p16.
7. Gsm_pa_on small ic U1202.
8. Temperature sensor 6 different place U1204, U1205, U1206, U1207, U 1208, U1209.
9. Sys_32k buffer ic U1210.
10. Pwm_cntl ic U1309.for light control.
11. H/F audio ic U1402.
12. Magnetometer ic U1705.
13. LCD connector via L1707.
14. Accelerometer ic U1704.
15. For optical navigation (keypad connector ) via L1904.

Really much works, but most time customer get nosy, so far non has worked by replacing crystal oscilators, the ones that i have been able to sort out is ones with shorts most times from 4 umts PA, first i remove r301 if short gone then i try to figure which PA is faulty, and set comes alive again!, I have not been able to solve any one without shorts, on external supply pcb draws about 6-9 mAh when connected, but still no power, no heat up and no shorts i tested testpoints.
I have replace oscilators and rehot pmic, still no power Bold 5 Headaces

According to picture where you get how many voltages.Describe by picture.
before also I had post as below.

"Hello all confused bro for 9900 fully dead.
there r some step as below but you have to work hard.Don't ask how find from anywhere get information about it.

1.d-Artigo is good man he has given best info & picture, THANX d-Artigo .which is most useful for beginner.now showing step.
1.check shorting of vbat_direct & vsys look in d-Artigo's above post.
2.check shorting of
1 S0 VREG_MSM_C1 v 1.8 (FT N15) TP C1228
2 S1 VREG_MSM_C2 v 1.8 (LEGS R13) TP C1233
4 S3 VREG_S3_1P8 v 1.8 (LEGS G15) TP C1247
8 L5 VREG_MSM_SD v 2.85 (B1 FEET) TP C1227
9 L6 VREG_MSM_USB3P3 v 3.3 (LEGS R3) TP C1229
10 VREG_MSM_USB1P8 L7 1.8 10 v (LEGS P2) TP C1231
21 VREG_L18_2P2 L18 2.2 21 v (A4 FT) TP C1249
24 L21 VREG_MSM_MPLL v 1.2 (LEGS A12) C1255 TP.
those all voltage r imp... so check carefully compare with ok phone.
3.After that when there r no shortig any where insert ac charger & now
check volt of all those point as given in image. if doesnt get
VSYS
than change 1. JET POWER U1303.change MAIN POWER
U-1201 ic for all other voltage
4.If volt of all those point r ok than you may do what bro naqvi66 (THANX bro naqvi66)explain in
his post to change crystal oscilator.
70% of phone will get back. If still dead than it will remain forever DEAD.
think positive will gets result GOOD."

Now about VSYS the main voltage where its used.

When you insert battery or charging plug you get most necessary volt VSYS (i.e. protected battery volt) if it’s short than this volt goes to
1. U1303 jet power
2. in net work section U301,U302,U2104,U2102 as a V_PA(VSYS_RF)
3. Wifi section U701,U702,U704 pa.
4. Main poer ic1201 to 18 point.
5. DDR switcher ic U1306
6. G,B,R led light D1304
7. keypad light ic U1307
8. Mic bias ic U1501
9. Ringer ic U1604
10. simcard connector S1904 (for camera flash)
11. Nfc ic U2002

Beyond all test, voltage, crystal are ok their after no red light than it’s impossible.
If red light plus code is more important.

i just checked 1 9900 dead and the ic values appears to be ok, but i cant let it go cos i heard my customer very well. "IT GOT VERY HOT" that i had to remove the batt(he said), reinsert it and the phone could not come on again. no red light and not recognized by any system, NO SURGE. something must be wrong people!! lets work harder in finding out.
