Dead BB 9900 - GSM-Forum

I have a TMobile 9900 that will not power up. I have tried multiple known good and fully charged batteries. No water damage. One day it simply lost power and never came back on. I have some data that I would really like to recover. Any suggestions on how I might do that? My current plan is to find a identical working phone and swap out the logic board. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Would it work?
