imessage - not sending activation sms / can not use my mob no as imessage id :( - GSM-Forum

I am using iphone 4s along with x sim and unlocked Bell carrier. I am able to use imessage or facetime only with my email id.

i found below points

- My number under settings->phone is showing unknown
- while activating imessage/facetime , activation sms is not going
- waiting for activation message does not showing 'gray' phone number

can anybody help on this

i am using ios 5.1.1

X-sim didn't proppey activate your phone. Jailbreak it with absinthe since you have ios 5.1.1. I have exact same problem but i'm stuck on ios 6.0.1 and waiting for a jailbreak

I upgraded to IOS 6.1 ... same issue is there
