Member: 42761 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | My cable isn't original - I bought it cheapo from some place. I've tried it with 98, and that didn't work either. I've tried switching the phone on whilst its searching - nothing seems to work! Are we supposed to take the simcard out or something? (I've tried that!) - how can it be done?? Who has got past this problem? Thanks |

Member: 18832 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 18 | It seems to me that all of you try to unlock a Siemens with datacable. U need "Unlock cable". Logically. Cannot tell you how to check if u have the right cable. But best way, is trying to use the phone as a modem. I u succed, you most likely have a datacable. Regards |

Member: 42761 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I think it can be unlocked with a data cable provided the necessary software is used. However, I am beginning to think that you need a USB cable and not serial. I am going to take mine to the local market to be unlocked |
