Hello, I have a few questions about FFS:

What is it?
How can i update it in cx65?
How can i check version of FFS in this phone (i have modified original ccq_vinfo.txt and i haven't made backup ) ?
What are advantages of FFS update ?
Where can i find newer (for eg. v25 or v36) FFS ?
What is FFSInit ?

memory area on siemens phones seperate in this parts:

1.boot area:first Kbytes readed from CPU when phone need to open,charge e.t.c.
2.eeprom area:this area is for hardware setings locks etc
3.firmware:the main part of memory.winswup and update tool making upgranding on this part of area.
4.FFS(flex memory)

n this area included:games,sturt up logos,animations,ringtones java aplications etc.FFS means:Flash File System

phone can work without FFS(FFS area erased) but can't work if 1 from other 3 memory area is erased or fault.also boot,eeprom and FW must have the same version

when you hear FUBU(FUll BackUp) or full flash is all this 4 area's.

when user has erase part of FFS(games ringtones aplications etc) then we can write again with FFS exe programs.

hm.. i have known all of it without that FFS = flex :] but i heard that ffs in cx65 can be updated.....to v25 or another. Does anybody know how to update it ?

There is no FFS v25 (until now).but why you need especialy v25???
also you must know that is not necesery FFS and FW must be same version.
