1- Entering recovery mode youre able to know the compilation and the baseband.

2- You need to be sure of the fact that the rollback protection bit is the same or lower. Ex, if you have this:

G920TUVU"2"APD1

That 2 means you must downgrade to a 5.1.1 that has the same "2", you cannot go lower and you'll never find it higher when youre going down in my opinion. Taking care of that fact allows you to flash the ROM without worries.
