if i extract modem.bin from a software, how can i turn it into a .tar so i can flash with odin?

so I am messing around and I think i can use 7zip to make a tar file is this right? I open 7zip, then i click add, then i click the files i want, then i change to .tar and click okay. Will this work or will it mess up my phone?

Just write modem.bin file on cp tab on odin
