Hello, at the moment you can not write the cpid certificate on the phone that has the root and no box, dongle or tool supports it and there is no patch cert, as you can not write compatible certificates of the same model but only you can write the certicate original, s8 as the latest samsung phones as well know you have the cpid cert and the only way to write a cpid certificate must have not rooted and have the knox warrenty void at 0x0 and the price for these operations passes $ 100 and are few to do it.

It's a scam, be careful.

Thumbs down

I have purchased a cert file from bestfirmwarefiles.********.com and can confirm that the person running this site is definitely a scammer. The cert file he provided me was not even for the model phone that I had (he changed the file name to match the model phone I needed the cert file for). I confronted the person who runs the site and sold me the cert file (Muhammed Usman +92 347 166204) and he asked me to send him more money for the correct cert (claiming that I failed to inform him that my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 N950U needed a CPID based cert file). I sent him an additional $50 on top of the $60 I had already sent and said the Note 8 no longer used CPID based cert files and that the reason I was unable to write the cert file he initially ssnt is because the phone needed to be rooted. I informed him that there is no root solution for a N950U with binary 5 firmware. He then claimed I was mistaken and that he had paid someone in Dubai $20 to purchase the root solution. After three days of excuses and lies he finally sent me the free SamFail root solution for the binary 1 firmware and a cracked copy of IMEI GURU LLC 6.6.9. I again informed him that none of the files applied to my phone and requested a refund. He then requested more money from me to pay his associate to perform an imei cleaning for my device. I messaged him that I was not interested given his inability and lack of knowledge of cert files, cpids, root solutions, imei repair, binary firmwares, differences between exynos and snapdragon devices, and writing cert files to newer phones, I needed him to refund my money. He responded by saying that he would refund my money (minus the return money transfer fees). I waited patiently for days before finally receiving a message from him asking for another method available besides Western Union (the method I used to send him money) because Western Union only allowed for receipt of money and not sending from his location. I requested that he send me his address so I could look online and find a location or service near him where he could complete the money transfer to refund my money. I have yet to receive a response or refund from him.

Based upon my experience and web searches of the website and person I dealt with, I can affirm that the person who runs and maintains Bestfirmwarefiles.********.com has very limited knowledge and experience with cellphones, firmwares and cellphone repair. He is, in my opinion and experience, a scammer. My suggestion is to do your research to find another provider of the service, cert files, firmwares or files you need and do not conduct business or send ANY money to Bestfirmwarefiles.********.com.

You can PM me for screenshots of the text messages between Bestfirmwarefiles.********.com showing the extent of his ineptitude.

Thank you

I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions. It is very disappointing that there are people lacking integrity that take advantage and steal money from people in this industry and it is nice to receive so many messages from supportive, honest people. To update you on my experience with bestfirmwarefiles . ******** . com, Muhammed Usman changed his contact number on the site to Whatsapp +923414666497 and removed his name from the site. He also blocked me on WhatsApp from contacting him. Essentially he ended up defrauding me of $110 (not to mention the time that I have spent attempting to resolve this issue). Hopefully my experience will help to encourage others to make certain to properly vet any person or company prior to sending them your hard-earned money.

It's terrible that there are scammers everywhere. Good reviews and feedback are essential in any industry nowadays. Best thing to do is find who people are talking about and recommending here and in the FB groups. Don't rely on ads posted in the forum or anywhere else.

There's been a lot of chatter about how Usman is a scammer lately. He's probably just going to change his name and number and keep pulling his little scam until people stop using him and use someone reputable. If you still need that phone repaired, PM me and I can send you the guy I've used a couple times.

In same page of offering the certs, he is offering a movie! Very professional!
I guess he sees movies wile expecting customers to contact to get scammed. Or offers movies so people get distracted after getting scammed? Or he is trying to get caught by the local authorities doing piracy & scamming(fraud) all at once! Did not saw the other pages but if i dig deeper, will i find a crack software as the imeiguru program offered to write certs LOL What a POS!

N950F is a CPID based phone with some high securities thus a cert is signed to work only on a single original phone so u cant write Cert on Note 8. The Only Option is to Repair Imei Permanent Via Server that is Permanent repair and second option is by Chimera whereby u will need To Patch Cert After write imei but as u know when modem is patched u will lose network after flash or update ur phone. The guy who sold u a cert is either doesnt have enough knowledge on What CPID devices are and how they Work or he knew but he intended to con u. If u paid by paypal then u can claim ur money .
