how to completly format samsing GT-I9300

hi all,

silly question to ask and will most probably get some sill answers as to what I want to ask.....

but here comes the question????

my firmware is corrupted after an update to jellybean 4.3, and as a result my IMEI number has become a generic one starting with "0049". now from what I've been reading in previous forums that this problem is a known problem and has something to do with a corrupted "EFS FILE PARTITION".

now I was wondering, is there a way to completely wipe my phone of all partition (in other words a blank and empty phone with nothing) then try a new fresh firmware install using kies or Odin3. along with a new copy of my firmware that in hope it will fix my Corrupted EFS FILE and restore my IMEI number to it's original state . It's a long shot I know but if it works from scratch then I'm willing to give a try?

I will await any suggestions.

thank you
