Member: 2616438 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 147 | This eng_boot is spread over many support files. N920a is a locked bootloader device so you cant just flash any file or do downgrade as you like. Its not just about security level you also need to check boot image this eng_boot is for low level security so its definitely wont boot up one new ones or latest. Misunderstanding these concepts will lead to hard break your device especially with new level devices and securities so be carefull. |

Member: 2669649 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | After unpacking this boot image, it looks to be nothing more than the Stock Kernel from the 4APL1 Combination Firmware for the N920A Which means this is an Android LP Kernel, which is why it will not boot a MM Based rom The Combination, or Factory Binaries have always been a LP build for every one I've booted up personally Load the N920AUCU4APL1 Firmware, and this boot image will boot up. |

Member: 2789167 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I have a recovery you can flash with it that should get it to boot but you lose the option to boot into recovery. I have booted with this kernel and it doesn't seem to be an ENG rooted kernel it's more of a Factory Binary kernel form a combination firmware but it may assist in gaining root. I'll post a link in a few when I get back to my PC |

Member: 2592628 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 212 | rev4 if you flashed the fake rev 4 file to your phone listed above, you'll know it didn't work. flash the stock boot image back to your phone and it'll be fine. its really simple logic... |

Member: 2669649 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | If you can get an eng sboot for rev4, like what is found for rev3, you would be able to downgrade binary levels. there is rev3 sboot firmware available that lets you flash rev2 and boot. The same exists for rev4, but no one has posted it. I have $$$ lol |
