No matter you write PIT or not, when you are using 3part file, u should use PIT file again, also mark Re-Partition

it starts flashing but it gives me failed after a little bit, what could be the problem???perhaps wrong files?

thanks a lot in advance

i am also posting a photo to explain better where i am at

thanks again

SicilianBoy 04-09-2011 02:24

also what are these files:

cache.rfs
dbdata.rfs
factoryfs.rfs
param.lfs
zImage

i dont know how to flash them, odin doesnt let me select them for flashing

i was able to use:

P1_add_hidden.pit
GT-P1000-CSC-MULTI-OXXJK2.tar.md5
MODEM_P1000XXJK5_REV_00_CL690077.tar.md5
P1000XWJJ7-REV03-ALL-CL669843.tar.md5

please somebody can clear me out the differences among those files?

thanks again

SicilianBoy 04-09-2011 02:40

i discovered that all the files:

cache.rfs
dbdata.rfs
factoryfs.rfs
param.lfs
zImage

are inside P1000XWJJ7-REV03-ALL-CL669843.tar.md5

so when i flash the p1000 i have to flash all modem csc and P1000XWJJ7-REV03-ALL-CL669843.tar.md5

or i can only flash the last file and the pit file?

thanks a lot

Here is what you must note

some firmwares come with just one file and that is the pda,
flashing the pda you must put pit 512 and the pda file and flash, after using only the pit and partion option, do not extract the tar file

some firmwares when extracted from rar has 3 files, phone, pda, csc
in flashing these files you must put a hidden pit in pit tab and check repartition then start, (only pit) when it show pass load the the 3 files without pit and without repartition.

Reasons for that error,
firmware downgrade is atimes not allowed by bootloader, so if you are not sure, always go for the latest firmwares in support. Eg if the phone had jk1, you must flash jk2 before jk5

so if you are not sure, go for firmwares that has no extention

use jm5 firmware i recommend.
