Thanks Huahaonam for your quick guide. I also wrote one up, a bit more detailed and with some extra info, so here it is. When you dial *#0011# and shows MIPI Fail, it may be caused by the following 3 major issues (try to repair it exactly in this order to avoid wasting time): 1. Faulty charging port - Temporarily replace the entire charging port board (not just the metal jack), and make sure that the new one is an exact model match, otherwise if you replace a US version G93xU with an international G93xF version it will fail, and vice versa! If the MIPI fail goes away then do a permanent replacement. 2. Software issue - Usually can be fixed by clearing the EFS as described below. 3. Hardware issue on the main baord - If it's none of the above two issues then you must replace the main board. Steps to fix the software issue (#2 above): 1. Flash combi then dial *#33725327# or *#27663368378# Testmode > Setting Info > Setting > System > NV_Backup_Test > EFS_Backup Testmode > Setting Info > Setting > System > NV_Backup_Test > EFS_Clear&Restore Do NOT erase EFS!! After restart, the phone should get the signal back, but may loose it when flashed with stock. 2. Flash stock and Eng-Boot-Root (boot.img) Then root it with SuperSU S7_S7E_ROOT_UNROOT_ADB_TOOLS.7z (courtesy of JRKruse) https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410932744536990173 3. adb shell su am broadcast -a android.provider.Telephony.SECRET_CODE -d android_secret_code://27663368378 Hidden menu 2 UE Setting Info 1 Setting 2 System 3 NV Rebuild 3 All Your phone should get its signal back after reboot. After fixing the MIPI Fail but there's still no signal, then try this: Root the phone Download and run program: Samsung_MIPI_Repair__W1ST.EXE https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid...63190603875965 Last edited by BillA; 12-25-2018 at 17:36. | |
