samsung i9000 stuck on gmail account - GSM-Forum

is there a way to put i9000 on download mode, if it doesn't recognise the download mode?
i got stucked on entering gmail details and have no ideea how to skip that.
also, it shows me : Too many patterns attempts!
and i have valid gmail account, but it doen't recognise it.
how can i skip the gmail check, will flashing solve this problem with to many patterns attempts?

flash the set
i tried on i5503 that was stuck on gmail account after flashing ok.
