Hi guys. anyone know how to unlock this phones Samsung s4 SPH-L720
i tot this phones is unlock when i back to my country i put local simcard
and its say invalid sim. is there any way to unlock it?i need it for GSM only

I found this method posted on Redmondpie, I'm very interested in getting the Sprint Galaxy S4 and unlocking to use it with a GSM carrier as well, please report if this method works:

Step 1: Launch the Phone app on your Galaxy S4, and dial in: *#0011#

Step 2: Press the Menu button followed by the Back key. Then, hit the Menu button again and select KEY INPUT. Enter 1 and press the OK button to enter ServiceMode.



Step 3: Press Menu one more time and tap back again. This will pull up the Main Menu for ServiceMode. Tap [1] UMTS.



Step 4: Now select [1]DEBUG SCREEN, followed by [6] PHONE CONTROL.



Step 5: From the next screen, pick [6] NETWORK LOCK.



Step 6: You’ll get three options. Hit the one that says [3] PERSO SHA256 OFF.



Step 7: Now, you need to get back to Main Menu. To do this, hit the Menu button followed by the Back key. In Main Menu, now pick [6]COMMON, and then [6] NV REBUILD.



Step 8: The phone will tell you that a Golden Backup exists. Tap [4] Restore Back-up.



Your device will now go through a series of “conditions”, where it will first freeze, then get on a black screen with Blue LED on and both capacitive buttons on, after which it will reboot automatically. The whole cycle might take a couple of minutes, so be patient. Once it powers back on, it’s network unlocked, permanently. Enjoy!

I tried that numerous times but when I put the unauthorized sim in my galaxy s4 SPH-L720 sprint it still says unvaild sim. Is there another way to gsm unlock my phone. Also my phone was rooted when I bought it is that effecting something or is there a step they didnt mention. I need this phone unlocked. Help please......

Hi, I need this phone unlocked too, I've tried numerous times the *#0011# thing, but nothing works, I've tried even unlocked by another company who unlocks phones and nothing, it reaaaaaaally urges me to have it unlocked, and unfortunately I have 2 S4 Sprint L720... Could someone help us?????

I bought a Galaxy S 4 from the U.S. Amazon ..Bad company Sprint ...I live in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Asia ..Never before me that I have visited America ..When I spoke with the company they said to me: We can not help you

Only works for GS4 GT-I9505 will not work with Sprint SPHL-720, From what I hear the GSM radio is not turned on in the 720 although the phone detects the card the radio is off by Sprint. Sprint also says that the sim card is for LTE only..(lie) and in the same sentence they say it can use GSM network if I was to travel to Mexico. Somehow you must activate the gsm/umts radio. This is a software problem. Read the box of the SPHL-720 it states it is an/and uses GSM/UTMS device/service.

doesn't work for L720 Sprint phone. It doesn't even ask for code and I don't see any where on the net yet as to how to enter code or direct unlock.
