Member: 1716774 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | SM-J710F-dm-verity verification failed I have a Samsung J7 (2016) SM-J710FN. I had to root it to restore my previous Titanium backup. I am selling this phone now and so i'm trying to somewhat restore it to its original state. I unrooted the phone using the stock firmware available from sammobile. I get "dm-verity verification failed....Need to check DRK first..." in recovery mode. When i choose the reboot option in recovery it gives me "E:failed to mount \data (Invalid Argument)" and boots the phone normally. Everytime i boot into recovery i get a brief blue screen saying "applying system updates" and then i get the recovery screen. As a last resort i tried the device initialization option from smart-switch but it didn't work. The phone is working great without any errors except that i cannot apply system updates. Can anyone please help me with this? |

Member: 1716774 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | This fails as well. Odin fails to flash after sboot bin and cm bin. Download mode gives this error "SW REV CHECK FAIL. DEVICE 3 Binary 2" Does this mean that my phone has updated to the latest firmware with smartswitch? I am not sure what to do. |

Member: 1716774 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | I downloaded the software and after entering the details it asks me to download this firmware J710FNDDS1AQB1 J710FNODD1APL1 INS. I've already tried it (earlier in this thread). It gives me Secure Check Fail: Bootloader message in download mode. |

Now there is no firmware listed for country/region INS for J710F on sammobile. Yet i have the latest firmware installed through smart switch for model SM-J710FN. All this is very confusing. I guess my phone is messed up big time. | |

Member: 2107306 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 612 | He has the device on Rollback Bit Protection 3 as the message shows: RP SWREV B:3 K:0 S:1 SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE 3, BINARY 2 Thats why is failing at the begining. You should be searching for a firmware with the same rollback. As for the : WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0x0303) means Knox is tripped so you can repair DRK with a combination file or just flash any kernel [rooting] to the device. It seems you have the last version, I see you posted: J710FXXU3AQD4 So you need to find a firmware that matches the same rollback bit protection wich is 3. I have searched but no luck. You need to look in paid servers. Hope it helps. |
