Samsung Note 8 N950U Rent A Center Lock Help! - GSM-Forum

I need your help please, some months ago i bought a phone to a "Friend", he said the phone is new and unlocke, i use for near to 3 months but the last week appear a Rent A Center Lock, i talk to the RAC phone, and they tell me that the cellphone was stolen from the store, and they cant do something, i need to repair the phone because is from my wife, i already try to hard reset, i try with the compilation file and try to send some commands to erase the partition but appear "Permission Denied", i will appreaciate your help, thanks in advance, and sorry for my english

well, i suggest u to return it back to that FRIEND that u bought for the first place

I can remove RAC from G950U. FRP has to be off.

If it allows you, flash combi, full factory reset, then do:

adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/<find _the_path>/by-name/persdata
adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/<find _the_path>/by-name/persist

<find _the_path> means you have to find the correct path for your device by something like:
adb shell ls -la /dev/block/platform/

If the "dd" gives a write error then you must flash it with an eng-boot first, and repeat the above commands.
Then flash with 4-file firmware and select the CSC-HOME instead of just CSC.

I see lots of free help offers, but don't worry you can post it here, if it exists Sammy knows about it already

Hey sorry to ask Im a little confused on what find the path means, i have read in a couple of forum they all mention this but cant figure out what it means

Hi.. can you help .. I have Samsung S8 g950f android 8.0 and I can't remove rent a center .. i can install combination but I don't know what to do..
