Sony Flash Tool Query - GSM-Forum

I am trying to flash a Sony Xperia XZ Premium that is stuck in bootloop. However i cant seem to figure out how the flash tool works? Got the correct ftf file for my device but i seem to be actually stuck on trying to get the device to connect to the pc?

It will say 'Device connected with USB Debugging off' i dont know if thats relevant? But after selecting flashfile it will tell me to put the device in flashmode but will not register that it is in flashmode even though on the console will say 'Device connected with USB Debugging off' Any help would be much appreciated. I am new to this tool so im probably doing something wrong. Thanks

Tried this and sadly the phone still stuck in bootloop

which option you use software update or software repair ?

1st update tool new ver is 2.7.4.0 then use option software repair ..

Yup. I did that. Software is on latest version. Used software repair. Put phone in flash mode. It flashes the phone. Xperia Companion tool says complete. However phone is still in bootloop. That is why I was trying to use a different software but can't seem to get it to work.

Disconnect Battery
Connect Battery
Hold volume down and connect to Pc...
