Member: 279453 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 29 | Setting Up Ad Hoc Wireless Network in Windows XP Host Computer Configuration 1) Let’s start with the configuration, right click wireless adapter and then click properties. 2) Wireless Network Connection Properties will appear. Click Wireless Networks tab, here I tick Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings. After that click Advanced button. 3) Advanced window will appear. Select Computer-to-computer (ad hoc) networks only option. Click Close at last. 4) After that, click Add to add new ad hoc wireless network. 5) Name your ad hoc network, here I use home-adhoc. Try to use open authentication without encryption first. After tested it works well, only proceed to enable WPA or WEP encryption. Click OK at last. 6) Now you will see your created ad hoc network (PC card icon) in preferred networks list. Wooo.. You have finished configuring this host computer. Wifi Configuration on your iphone 3g/3gs 1)Go to settings > wifi> turnon wifi 2) you will see the network you created earlier. 3)Click then connect. you should get an internet connection on your iphone I hope this will help for people without wifi network near. |

Member: 279453 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 29 | owo**** did you search the wifi connection on your iphone? in you do hopefully the network should come and connect with a valid IP Address. if it gave a you an ip address starting with 169.XXX.XX.XX then that means there was some error so you have to click on your iphone network and you will find DHCP,bootP,Static. click on static and then put the ip address manually. for example if your PC was 192.168.0.1 the you can give the iphone ip address as 192.168.0.35 just by changing the last digit ok Ip Address 192.168.0.35 Subnetmask 255.255.255.0 Router 192.168.0.1 (ur PC ip address) DNS 192.168.0.1 (ur PC ip address) i think this will help you |
