I tried this fix. I paid the $4 to purchase IFile and it didn't work. The file could not be changed.

Also, the way the post is written is confusing. Is there another program called "PC" and "Itools?"

i tried this and it works very well to do the change and it probably works with iPhone 3Gs but it didn't work with my 3G.
I wonder if someone knows how to change the account name on the app and to write my own there ... that might work.

2. with IFile ---> System/Library/CoreServices ---> SystemVersion.plist
3. wth pc ---> itools ---> jailbroken data --- system/library/coreservice ---> systemversion.plist
4. Change BUILD version and Product Version ( for example u have 4.1 build 8B117 change to 5.0.1 or 5.1.1 ( 5.0.1 --- 9A405 or 5.1.1 --- 9B206)
5. Restart your IPhone
6. Skype Latest Version will work 100% tested by me. ( and some apps work with this fake version ( not work navigon gps ).

Not working, I've tried it to 3g 4.2.1 I make it 5.0.1 then 5.1.1 result same.

I tried to install skype 2.0.1 then 3.7.0 and 4.6 nothing is work for me .....
