Weird SP Flash Tool issue - GSM-Forum

Hello,

Just in case someone had the same problem in the pass and knows how to solve it.

I´m trying to unbrick an Umi X1S with mt6589.
I have correct drivers, SPFlashTool and ROM, but... here comes the issue with flashtool:
After click on download (firmware-update) red bar starts and goes to 100%, then simply do nothing more, the greyed buttons comes alive like if has finish with the task but clock keeps running.
The only thing I have noticed is that after the red bar if you reconnect the usb it changes from regular MTK or Mediatek usb vcom to Mediatek DA Usb Vcom Port.

Things I tried:
Different ROMS
All SP Flash Tool V3.13xx versions I´ve found (1304,1308,1312,1316)
Connect phone with battery, without battery, pressing different buttons, etc... no luck in anyway.
Different drivers

Use 3.1320 AND make sure you are using the DA payload from the same directory

I tried with 3.1320 and 1328

Payload means download agent? I tried with all agents in the folder without success, the only agent that make something different is MTK_AllInOne_DA_SW_SEC_BOOT.bin that reports: BROM ERROR: S_USUPPORTED_VER_OF_DA (1022)

Any other advice?

it means someone or you have flashed the handset with completely different cpu soc or config or diff PMT so only solution is TESTPOINT search for KIO(i dont remember the name correctly) testpoint in pcb touch it to the GND and put usb cable and flash correct firmware it will accept the 2nd loader for sure

I have to supposed that client tried to change ROM and install the wrong one.
I will try to find the test point.
