TRY WITH 2 OPTIONS
A
1.- shut down the phone
2- press power and vol - key
3.- the phone show android icon
4.- press both keys vol togheter until show recovery menu
5.- go to wipe data option and select with power key
6.- wait the process finished
7.- go to reboot and select with power key

B
1.- shut down the phone
2.- press power key
3.- when the phone show motorola logo release the power key and instantly press vol -
4.- the phone show android icon
5.- press vol + for show recovery menu
follow the same steps 5 to 7 method A

In my case all key cmbination, failed. Phone just bott to normal mode. No way to enter recovery. Any ideea why? Maybe because of root?
Phone had gesture lock and customer entered it wrong. Now it ask for gmail account, etc... And I can't check if it's rooter or not.
Any advice?

if not work,,then pull battery,,,put battery back,,press power on(3secs) then relese,,and immediatly press vol down and hold it down til see android logo then relese.
then just vol up and recovery menu appear

i have the same issue and none of the button combinations work.
i just cant get into recovery mode..

any other way? via PC etc?
i dont care about the data inside. i just need to hard reset it.

These combo doesn't work. Use next: turn off phone, then press simultaneously vol up, vol down and power buttons, hold it about 3-4 seconds, then release. First you'll see moto's logo, then android logo. Wait and then press vol up to see recovery menu.
