Flash the phone with scout from gsmserver to Android 2.1 you will never need any tmobile sim for activation and better software with Radio much better than stock 1.5 firmware

Still waiting for a solution for this problem.
Luck!

To get an access point
Prior to registration and enter the password
When you see emergency call and start

press Press the button on the left that contains the four boxes .

Will open a new list containing the three options

Select set-up wi-fi

Then do contact your network

i have been in the same problem before, this how i solved my problem, i took off my sim into another phone and sent a internet settings request for from my mobile service providers, quickly i turned off that phone and inserted the sim back to the motoblur and turned it on, u will then receive sms for internet setting from ur service providers jux glide down the notification and install the internet settings. after that, the symbol for edge (E) appears on the notification indicating that u are now connected to the internet, from hear u can choose to create a new gmail account or use an existing 1, follow the command next till u finish. hope it helps !!!!!
