● Close after installion
Download All lumia firmware From here http://www.lumiafirmware.com/
● Create a new folder named Package from the Windows desktop.

● Move the Downloaded*.ffu file into the Package folder.

● Rename the *.ffu file to FullFlashUpdate.ffu.

● Lunch the Cmd command by entering this key on your keyboard {window key + r} as shown below.

our's a open forum, everyone can share their experiance or method but method/solution should be valid & working.

anyway you are also right , not in all cases problem may not related with software but as I think we must first check or test with software before going into hardware repair .

windows recovery tool update fail lumia 520 but cmd method 1000% working

if update failed that's mean hw issue i am not agree with you
because i have same problem update fail but cmd methods 1000% working
if you problem update any lumia just try cmd methods
