Enter the wrong password three times, then you should get an error code. Write it to me.

Try this:
"HP/Compaq laptops only show the hash if the F2 or F12 key has been pressed prior to entering an invalid password for the last time."

After 3 probe, on screen keyboard go to screen
if enter a wrong code into on screen keyboard (this is a 4. probe)
display a message:
"Invalid password! Press power button"

Not code in display

After F2 or F12 nothing code in display.

any other ideas?

If someone wants to get the password to the BIOS or HDD DELL computers.

Write Service Tags in this form:

your BIOS Service Tag should look like this:
AB12345-595B or D35B or 2A7B or A95B

Thats 7 digits a dash and 4 more digits

your HDD Service Tag should look like this:
AB1234567YZ-595B or D35B or 2A7B or A95B

Thats 11 digits a dash and 4 more digits

If some digits are a '*' star just enter them like that

The full Service Tag displays when you boot your
computer and you see the BIOS or HDD security screen
