Hello Dell Helper,

I'm having hard troubles getting my Dell to work. I was cleaning up the mess in my house and went to the landfill to drop the garbage. Anyway, while i was there i noticed an Dell D620 wich was optical in good condition. So i took it with me.

When i came home turned it on and it started with the known Dell logo then it hangs a while on "Invalid configuration information - please run SETUP program". Then it gives the screen telling me it needs the System or Administrator password. I already noticed that removing the harddisk the screen hangs on "Invalid configuration information - please run SETUP program". So i guess there is also a harddisk password.

Anyway... though it got a long story now... Hope you can help me with the information below... Too sad to bring it back again... It even has a good screen, harddrive 100GB and 4GB memory installed.

Service TAG : Dell D620, #C1743D1-595B
HDD Serial : Seagate ST910021AS, 5MH08SJ4

Maybe this is working... Online Huawei Modem Unlock Calculator. I have used this for several E220 models with luck. Below there are already the generated codes for your IMEIs.

1. Unlock:64778870, Flash:41208744
2. Unlock:57722185, Flash:45083256

Any ideas why the code didn't work? Tried it several times. I noticed my initial post was all lowercase, but I didn't know if that would make a difference. The tags and HDD serial should be all uppercase.

yes it is case sensitive.
also may be your dell has bug4 algorithm .
thirdly, you need to relace your hard disk .
