I put the password in and hold the CTRL Key and click OK this then pops up Warning Incorrect Password entered Click OK.

If I click OK this leaves the password field with password *'s so hold CTRL and click OK a few times and nothing happens, so I have to click Cancel

Did you see suffix after Service Tag in Bios ??

Watch out for case sensitive !!!

put password click CTRL+ENTER

or

also you can try external keyboard on USB.

I still cannot load a OS on this thing...I bought a dell latitude e5420 used from a p

I bought a dell latitude e5420 used from a pawn shop for my daughter. It has corrupted xp on it. i wanted to put win 7 on it.
i need the admin password
