Are you using drivers downloaded from hp support site? or you just connect the printer and auto installed drivers?

try with this drivers:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwa.../DJ2130_61.exe

If don't work, try to install printer on a windows 7 computer to see if the printer is working. Use same driver setup from link.

Also, windows 10 is garbage. if you can, get rid of it and install windows 8.1 max. Preferably use windows 7.

I know you using deskjet 2132. HP drivefrs deals with model series. If your printer is a 2132, 2130 series drivers are good for 2132, 2133, etc.

And test printer in other computer with different windows (7, 8)? Were you able to test?

You can also try to change usb cable, shorter, or change usb port!

First i would test printer in other computer with different windows, so you can rule out the printer having problems.

hp support site have this troubleshoot list:
HP Printers - After Windows 10 Upgrade, Printer Problems Occur | HP® Customer Support

try this:
1-Before unplug printer from computer, go to device manager, right click on each printer driver, choose "uninstall" and in the next confirmation window, choose to delete installed driver check box.
2-Unplug printer from windows 10 computer
3-Remove all printer software and drivers from programs and settings
4-install the linked program below and follow instructions.
Code:
HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwa...80-2/hppiw.exe
If you want, i could do a remote assistance to see if we together can do it!
If so, im on gmt +1 (forum time), i can help with this up until 20:00 (08:00PM gmt+1).

Best regards!

Im really sorry, as you have not quoted me, was not aware of your answers.

Its very weird that you could print a pdf but not a word doc! really weird.

Anyway, im glad you sorted out your problem by downgrading to win7! Its the best choice, i guarantee you. If Microsoft keeps Windows 10 the way it is, i think the last MS OS ill be using is windows 8.1. Even so, i'm not using it, ill keep 7 untill i have to put new OS on my machines.

Best regards!

Nice post. To Windows 10, the more that I know about is how to recover lost password on it since forgot Windows 10 login password accidently. If you have the same problem with me, you can get more on HERE.
