Because of the mechanical stress sometimes cracks appear in the solderjoints, resulting in pour connection or sometimes no connection at all. You could try to resolder the connector to the PCB (best to use solder with lead) |

Member: 1375563 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | As I mentioned, I've tried running the phone with another charged battery. Or charging mine with another HTC touch, and running it. It runs perfectly. The only problem with the phone is that it doesn't charge. |

Member: 1375919 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | hmm.. I think the HTC Touch has a charger circuit build in, so I think you have to search there. Unfortianlly I don't know much about the charger circuit of the HTC Touch, so I can't say where you have to look for. |

Member: 1375563 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | Hmm. I have no idea either . Don't know what to do now. I took it to HTC. They say they'd have to replace the whole motherboard to fix the problem, and it's WAY too expensive, even they don't recommend getting it done. |

Member: 1375919 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | that's what the most companies do, replace the complet pcb. What you could do is, take out the pcb, and lookup the function of every IC on google, maybe the charge circuit is build arround 1 IC, you could try to replace that one. |
