HTC M8 No sim detected
 

Hello friends,
i changed the simslot on a M8 hoping to restore function, but it did not work.
The simslot is ok, the simcard is fine and in place. anybody know what the problem is? could it be software? i have literally no idea at this point, please help :confused:

no it can't be related what so ever to software
thread moved to hardware

i have same problem.my htc m8 showing insert sim

If the SIM slot is OK and all pins are connected to their points on the board>>>
the problem is related to POWER IC . Try reheat it well and safely

it might be sim tray problem if not check all tracks related to sim slot

You need to restart your mobile first

Is this for M8 one sim or dual please

naqvi66: i tried this and it helped me too. the phone i fixed had the issue but did work if the owner pressed on the phone (slightly below the sim card flex).

antalpromile,this me attested solution.this problem comes due to flex cable.check and connect jumper again.if problem still remain,then connect flex cable in mother board and check sim conecctor points ,is there any point open ?.if you get other open point ,tell me i will send you its diagramm or u can check and with other m8
