I am interested in the solution as well. I had a phone with same problem but ended in selling it for spare parts.
Problem on mine was lcd was working for 1-2 hours and all of a sudden image would hang but phone would still continue to work normally (calls, sounds, etc). After that it would work 1 out of 50 times if i switched on the phone then again freeze. I installed a webcam software to see if image was "produced" on the phone, and it was (phone was transmitting images on pc via webcam software). Tried with 2 different lcd's, they worked fine on other phone. I said this so maybe someone could figure what if wrong with our phones.
Could it be the nvidia chip is failing ? or lcd chip failing (if there is some) ? Can a reflow/reball of the tegra chip solve the problem ?

"Packing" mean couple of layers of thick tape or paper.
