Does eMMC / JTAG require soldering? - GSM-Forum

I have:
* Octoplus box
* LG model H631 hard bricked (no boot, I see QDLoader 9008 in PC)
* LG model K330 hard bricked

If a model is supported by JTAG but not other ways, does that mean soldering is required? Or will one of the many many cables that came with the Octoplus box work without soldering? I see the instructions for eMMC mode in one of the apps. But do I need to really do that?
I've searched but can't find clear answers.

Hi.

Repairing of LG K330 is currently not supported. We will try to add support for this device in one of the future Software updates.

Repairing of H631 is supported via eMMC (not via JTAG or USB) and need soldering wires to connect the device, please look here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f664.../#post12552111.

Please note, that Octoplus Box HW doesn't support work with eMMC; to be able to repair devices via eMMC, You should have Medusa Pro Box with 20-pin connector. In additional to Octoplus Box (with JTAG activation), You can buy only "Medusa Pro Upgrade kit" (https://gsmserver.com/item/boxes-and...o-upgrade-kit/), no need to buy any additional activations.
