Cannot Flash LG G5 H820PR [Answered]

I have a G5 with corrupt software so it won't boot.
I'm have it in 'Firmware Update' mode and am trying to flash the f/w but always get this error with Octolplus:

Platform: LG Qualcomm
Selected port: COM14
Selected model: H820PR
Reading info...
Could not detect mode!
Performed by 3.0.1 Software version.

I don't see it in Device Manager. Of course, I can't enable USB debugging, etc, because it won't boot to menu.

What can I do ?

Yes, as I said above, I have it in d/l, aka Firmware Update mode, just like you would for FRP removal. But I keep getting the error.
