CONTRIBUTION LG-LMX212TA Root image

Dear Friends

here is my little contribution to the hardwork done by many teams. Here is the rooted boot image for LG Aristo 2 for Unlocking without hassle and twrp

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F0x...ew?usp=sharing

steps to follow

1. enable adb and oem unlock from developer settings
2. open command line and type : adb reboot bootloader
3. when in bootloader mode. u need to unlock bootloader first by typing
" fastboot oem unlock " hit enter
4. once its done you need to download the above given file and put it in adb folder and type
" fastboot flash boot x212ta rooted boot.img"
5. once done. type " fastboot reboot ".
Done you are rooted

ok guys, this error is for the Android Oreo...

What you need to know about LG's Oreo firmware for the Aristo 2 and variants

  • If you update to stock v20c (Oreo firmware) using LGUP or OTA update, you will be unable to root your phone from Oreo. The Oreo firmware does still have the OEM unlock option under Developer options. You can also boot into bootloader mode and execute the fastboot flashing unlock command.
  • HOWEVER, fastboot will not flash any partitions under the Oreo firmware.
  • This begs the question, How can I update to Oreo and still have root ?
  • There is really only one way to do it. Use TWRP to flash a rooted Oreo image.
  • If you are already running stock Oreo, you will have to downgrade to Nougat based firmware (I recommend 10K or earlier), then flash TWRP from fastboot, then use TWRP to flash a rooted Oreo ROM.
