D820/D821 could not connect [Solved]

Hi there.....

I have got two phones one D820 and another one D821.... both obviously are similar.....

What i need to do is , I want to repair their imei number....

The problem i am getting is a bit weird..... Both the phones doesnt gets detected on Octopus LG software.....

On the other hand all the other Third party Root software's are able to detect the phones and even root them properly....

In OctopusLG soft what i get is only this....

Quote:
Welcome to Octoplus/Octopus Box LG Software version 1.7.9
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Platform: LG Qualcomm
Selected port: COM1
Selected model: D820
Reading info...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Platform: LG Qualcomm
Selected port: COM1
Selected model: D820
Reading info...Failed!
Could not detect mode!

And by looking at the log you might tell me that im using an old version of the software..... So to be clear i have been trying all versions of the soft and am yet unable to get it detected..... yes even the latest 1.8.1 cant detect it....

My both phones had 5.0.1 lollipop in it and i know its not suppoted.... So i downgraded the phones to 4.4.2 kitkat.....

I have tried Windows 7, Windows XP..... 3 different pc's ......

I reinstalled all the required drivers from the support... but yet i get same problem.....

Could The support Team please help me out ?

Hello.

Do the next:

1. Disconnect all other devices from PC.
2. Reboot the PC.
3. Install the latest Software version (Software).
4. Connect the phone to PC directly via motherboard USB port, don't use any USB hubs, this is important.
6. Install neccessary drivers: http://octopusbox.com/files/drivers/...3.10.1.exe.zip, https://mega.co.nz/#!OlxHUKzC!j5qLEU..._sS4v0fK02kQUg.
7. Read phone's info and perform the operation, that You want.

Open your Command Prompt (CMD)

Change directory to where your ADB.exe is and type this command while your phone is connected.....

Quote:
adb shell
Quote:
su
Quote:
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb

After this command your phone will make diag ports and drivers will get installed....

Your done

Now you can work with OctopusLG software.

P.S : Your phone needs to be rooted, and you have to type those command every time you restart the phone.....

Hope this helps.....
