D821 Repair Wi-Fi question [Answered]

Hello!

I am trying to fix Wi-Fi on D821. Below is the log:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Checking data...OK
Platform: LG Qualcomm
Selected port: COM35
Selected model: D821
Reading info...OK
Mode: Fastboot
Model ID: hammerhead D821(E) 16GB
Device serial number: 06505ab00b353adf
Hardware: rev_11
Bootloader lock state: unlocked
Fixing Wi-Fi MAC address...
New Wi-Fi MAC address: 00:02:4E:3F:5E:11
Reading partitions...
Initializing flash...Failed!Failed!
Performed by 2.8.6 Software version.
------------------------------------

Does it mean flash is corrupted or I have to try these operations in Emergency mode?

Yes, You have connected device in fastboot mode:

Mode: Fastboot
But You should connect it in Download (Emergency) Mode.

Thanks for your answer, support team! I checked other threads, related to this issue, and found the same advice there as well. Unfortunately Download mode is not accessible. In order to repair Wi-Fi, the software rooted my phone in mandatory manner and now I can only enter Recovery or Fastboot mode.

I also tried OPTIMUS cable with 910k resistor, in this case I am offered to enter Emergency Download mode and once entered user data get erased and phone reboots without questions asked. After this is done the phone is soft-bricked, I had to reflash it with NexusRootToolkit.

All in all it turned out to be a hardware issue. After I managed to resolder Wi-Fi chip on motherboard (BCM4339) both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth came back to life.
Thanks!
