Would it be possible to just flash a certain part of the zv5 firmware maybe just the modem part/bin so the octoplus unlock which was successful on zv5 work on zv8?

Hi.

Yes, this can be the solution. If You have LS777 with ZV5 firmware, we can prepare test Software version for You to read out modem firmware from it and then You can try to write it into LS777 with ZV8 firmware and try to unlock it.

i have an ls777_zv5 can i have that test software to get the files needed?

Its in the same place they always put their test software - /Soft/Octoplus LG/TEST SOFTWARE/ when you click on the go to support button on the octoplus software

Ok I downloaded a LS777ZV5_06_Virgin_7.0_default-backup.tot from the internet (as I do not have a zv5 model on me) and inside the file is lots of img. which ones do I try to flash?

modem.img
modemst1.img
modemst2.img

Is it one of those or all 3 or something else from the tot file?

I think the phone is bricked - it failed at 99% writing the zv5 modem tot, I thought **** it ill run the unlock while im here in download mode and on reboot it boots to download mode....
Also trying to boot into recovery it says recovery loading but it also goes into download mode...

Fml lol

zv8 has signed system i think and cant write via octoplus or z3x

modemst not needed. Only modem.
Modemst-s is nv-item parameters (including IMEI/MEID/ESN and others)

I found that ZV9 has severely blocked the encryption method is very difficult

Test version lg octoplus let me write zv5 modem tot to zv8 but it stopped at 99% then failed.
Now it only reboots to download mode.

At least that is some hope because it is not the end of the world when it boots to download mode right?
