LG E960 missing camera

I've got an LG E960 here with the camera app missing. The camera app shows up on the lock screen for swiping to the left to open the app, but it comes up saying, "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped."

The camera app does show in the app list as Camera Version 2.4.018(1836172-30)

Any ideas how to get this camera back up and running?

Phone is running on Android version 5.1.1

Thx,
Cb

Hello.

Try to make Factory Reset. Try to reflash the phone.

I should have mentioned that a factory reset didn't fix anything.

I did download the firmware from Octoplus support area. LGE960AT-00-V10|e-NXS-DEC-17-2013-KOT49H-USER+0.oct
I am pretty sure that I tried writing the firmware but had an issue with it. Can't remember what happened with it, that was last week and have done many phones since. Gonna try the firmware again today, but need to charge phone first. I will report back when phone is charged.

OK I managed to write the firmware. The camera app still isn't showing but when I try to open it from the lock screen I am getting a slightly different error. Now it just says "Camera Error Can't connect to the camera"

If after writing of a firmware and making a Factory Reset problem still remains, then, most likely your device has HW problem.
