Hello.

What is the problem exactly with connection? What cable do You use exactly? You should use the special LG P999 cable with 910 kOhm resistor inside, not standart Micro USB cable. Please, read Software manual ("Cable & Options" tab in the Software) what cable You should use for what action.

You can try to use standart Micro USB cable, sometimes the operations can be performed via this cable, but in general, You should use LG P999 cable with 990 kOhm resistor inside.

What device exactly appears in PC Device Manager, when You connect the phone to PC?

To connect the phone, do the next:

1. Install neccessary drivers (http://octoplusbox.com/files/drivers...Ver_3.12.3.exe).
2. Re-boot the PC.
3. Restart the phone.
4. Connect the phone directly to PC motherboard USB port via LG P999 cable (don't use USB hubs, this is important).
5. Go to "Settings -> Networks -> Tethering & Networks -> Turn on "USB tethering".
6. Press "Read info" button.

What is the firmware Android version in your phone? Note, if here Android 5.x.x firmware in your device, You should downgrade it to Android 4.4.x and only then connect the phone in Normale Mode.
