Please read attentively Software manual (press "Help" button in Software) how to write firmware:

1. Power the phone off.
2. Take out SD and SIM cards from the phone.
3. Select "OMAP" connection mode in the Software.
4. Select firmware file.
5. Press "Write firmware" button.
6. Follow software instructions (prompts).

Note, to write firmware You should use the special cable LG P999 with 910 kOhm resistor inside.

Connect the phone directly to PC motherboard USB port, don't use any USB hubs or USB PCI cards, this is important.

Software can't erase and write u-boot section. Most likely, device has HW problems (problems with eMMC flash chip).

Try to perform the Repair operation and then try to write firmware again. Connect the cable directly to motherboard USB port, don't use any USB hubs or PCI USB cards. Try to connect the device to another motherboard USB ports. Try on another PC. If the problem is the same, this is HW problem.

Try to reflash the phone with original firmware and flashing tool. If problem with flashing will remain - most likely your phone has HW problem.
