Nexus 5 how do I know if the IMEI has been repaired? - GSM-Forum

Hi,
I bought a new device, Nexus 5 D820.
And I have a problem when I insert SIM regardless of which provider I have no reception (no service)
It works out only when I'm working on 2G when I return to 3G again no reception. (No LTE in my country)
Could be I bought a device with repaired IMEI? How can I check it?

It is hard to check whether IMEI was rapaired. You can install the latest Software version (Software), try to make "Repair Security" and then check, whether 3G/4G network is active. Don't forget to make (read) Security backup before.

Do I risk my cell phone when I do it or risk losing the IMEI?

Small risk is always present, that's why You need to make Security backup before to perform operation in order to have possibility to return the phone into the previous state.

OK , I have install this "Octoplus/Octopus LG Installer v1.4.9", it is the right one?
because i'm getting an error "card not found"

To run the Software, You should have the Box and connect it to your PC.

what do you mean by saying "3G network will become unavailable", How is it expressed?
I can't select 3G? I can select but I will get some kind of error? It will stuck on searching operator?
