Hello.

Disconnect all other devices from PC, take out smart card from the Box, clean the card's contacts, then try to update card firmware again. Also try to put card into an external card reader (dongle) or into another box (use the box as a card reader) and re-update card. Write here the result. Connect Box/card reader directly to PC motherboard USB port, it is better don't use USB hubs.

Your card doesn't answer to Software's commands. This can be the problem with used card reader or problem with card. Try to use another external card reader. Also try to re-update card on another PC. If the problem is still the same, most likely, card is damaged.
