Question about Optimus Cable - GSM-Forum

I have a little question, the optimus cable has usb normal mode, 56k, 130k, 910k. Ok I understand that, but it have a little micro usb port that said 5V in. For what is that? I ask because I just saw that port isbroked in my cable.
So myu other question, is really necessary? I ask because I dont know if Iwi ll need to buyanother cable.

Hello.

You wont need to use 5V port, while processing LG phones. No need to buy another cable.
