Member: 2767460 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | V10 H900 partial unlock (tethering/hotspot fail) [Answered] Then a day later AT&T finally emailed me the legit unlock code. (oof) The problem is, tethering/hotspot didn't get unlocked. And now it won't prompt me for the unlock code, so I can't enter it. I'm back in the states and tethering works on AT&T, but I'd like it fully unlocked everywhere. What can I do? Can I revert somehow and then use the factory unlock code?Or is there a way to unlock the tethering separately now? Sorry I'm a noob, so please be explicit..... Once I did install all the tools to put a custom ROM on a Chinese market HTC, but just bricked it (it wasn't going to work anyway, I just didn't know any better) Last edited by octhed; 10-13-2017 at 00:24. Member: 2767460 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I'll just answer my own question. I think it is already unlocked. You can force the unlock prompt. I dialed 2945#*900# and it says "Your phone is not personalized." which I've read means that it is already unlocked. So the reason I can't use tethering is because it is AT&T software on here. So probably I can use a tethering app. Which I should have thought of. |
