CDMA unlocking?

Guys i have a question that scratches my mind.

let's say that i have an s5 from sprint and everybody knows that sprint androids are CDMA so they won't work with a sim card! Here is my question, once we unlock a sprint android phone; Can it be used with any other company that uses CDMA as well? Such as; Verizon ( this is the only other one that i know that goes by CDMA )

So basically, Can CDMA PHONES be used among themselves just like we do with the GSM phones?

what ive learned is there are some phone models that can be used on gsm if flashed from cdma, as long as they have the gsm ablity. And there are models where you have to enable gsm.

Yes it will work on GSM. I have a SM-N902P (Note5). I am on AT&T. My wife has a SM-G920V Verizon S6 also on AT&T.
