Member: 2475236 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I am trying to and without much success with a putting my Verizon S5 SM-GOOV onto the Sprint old basic $30 SERO plan with a HTC TP2 donor. The Verizon S5 has been downgraded to 4.4.2, and rooted, along with Safestrap. While using the CDMA Workshop 3.8 paid edition to follow along with the writes, the S5 ultimately resulted with the lost of service to the Verizon network. My questions are: 1. Does anyone have a link to a writable copy of DFS v13.9.29.0? 2. Does anyone know how to restore connection to the Verizon network? 3. Does anyone have the know how to put the Verizon S5 on the SERO plan? Thanking you in advance! |

Member: 2413077 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I am also interested in this new way to flash to Sprint Carriers. Will it work on Galaxy S6 and new iPhones? I'm currently still using a Galaxy S4 from the previous method, and would love to upgrade! |

Member: 2520022 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Check-in and hypothetical question Hello again, I just wanted to check in and say that the Note2 is still working great almost two years later with the help of the donor HTC Diamond. Even in its third incarnation, this thread is still going strong and is a testament to how well the DFS method works for getting phones set up with legacy plans. Now that the Note2 has been working well with EvDo for a while, I've been thinking about the (single band) LTE capability that it has and the FreedomPop LTE service. My question is this - is it possible to use the 3G/CDMA side of the phone with the Sero service the same as I have been doing and activate the LTE side with FreedomPop for data only? The idea is that this would allow the device to have extra-fast data for a time, and only when that free LTE data is spent would one simply have to disable the LTE radio and continue using the unlimited EvDo data. Is this feasible? |

Member: 2447288 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I'm interested, how much and is the method easier and faster than the one on here? Send a message if u like. I was still not able to get the Note 4 to read on a port and I was also not able to get msl from both the Note 4 and note edge even using msl utility which used to work every time. So I sold them, got a clean esn note edge and activated it on Ting fast and easy and I'm paying like $10 a month as it's pay as you go and im still using my note 3 on boost for like 2 years now. I do want to upgrade on boost. |

(EG: a Palm 700p, still active on Boost and a Samsung Epic also on boost...yes, yes, an EPIC! almost as antique as that Palm!) Recently acquired an S3 & had a friend flash over a kyocera of the wifes (fm. boost)...plain & simple & wife's just thrilled. SO now the plot thickens. I pick up a clean esn unlocked Note 4 (910P) only to find out, no can do. It's (according to reading all 11 pages of this thread 2 this point) an unlikely candidate w/the 5.1.1 update. I was hoping to use the Epic as donor for IMEI; Getting a replacement SIM sure sounds a LOT easier about now? | |
