How to recieve messages & calls from sim card connected to modem in linux ubuntu
 

I just recently installed linux ubuntu
when i plugged in my modem its detected and i can connect to the internet
i am wondering if there is a way to interface with the sim card in the modem as in how can i send and recieve calls and sms from my sim card that is in the modem
is there any software that i can use to detect my sim card and send and recieve sms

you can use Modem Manager Gui to read SMS
just open the terminal and type :
sudo apt-get install modem-manager-gui
