hi, you ned update firmware or unlock ? its very old modem, i like it

but, if ur modem work bad like restart - check big orange capacitor on pcb , color c be orange or metalic. is 90% you need replacing if modem is restarting.

about unlocking - readefs dump via any free tool and find all 8 digits codes, one can be nck.

or use any not free tool for direct unlocking.
