AT command(s) to force 3G/4G on Huawei and/or ZTE GSM modems

What are AT commands to disable GSM/2G and force 3G/4G/HSPA on Huawei and/or ZTE GSM modems?

For example, Huawei E366, UMG366 (T-mobile).

Modem is connected to a CradlePoint MBR95 router, so stock connection manager cannot be used to configure the modem.

For Huawei, AT^SYSCFG=14,2,3FFFFFFF,2,2 should work.
For ZTE, try AT+ZSNT=2,0,0 .

Command AT^U2DIAG=0 does not work for Huawei UMG366 (it does not disable CD-ROM and produces error message).

Run AT^SETPORT=? command to get a list of available USB components and AT^SETPORT? to view current configuration.
Post results here and I will suggest you how to set CDROM-less config.

Please be more careful here: there must be a semicolon (;) between "a2" and "1", not a colon (:)!

There are two ways to disable CD-ROM for this configuration:

1. CD-ROM is disabled in Windows environment only, when driver was already installed:
AT^SETPORT="A1,A2;1,2,3,7,A2" .

2. CD-ROM is totally disabled (no modeswitch needed, if you know what it is about):
AT^SETPORT="FF;1,2,3,7,A2" .
