Member: 2340010 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | [Expert Help] by passing carrier's modem blockage? "B593s-22" I'm new around here ^^" so.. hello again, & I appreciate any help. So I have bought Huawei Modem B593s-22 recently, it's fully unlocked for all networks & not branded with any carrier, & has Huawei's original international frimware. I have a very good LTE package subscription on my smartphone, so I took the sim card out and put it in the B593 modem but I couldn't connect to the internet. It turned out after calling the carrier support that they are somehow preventing the usage of Modems on their "Smartphone LTE offer subscriptions". So I wondered if there is a way to get around it? I have no idea how they detect that it is a modem device instead of smartphone, I'm guessing via device's IMEI? If so, is it possible to spoof that to trick them into accepting connection as smartphone? Any other solution at all? |
